The borough of Lititz, PA, is located in Lancaster County, about six miles north of the city of Lancaster. Commonly known as “The Heart of Lancaster County,” Lititz covers 2.3 square miles of land, home to a current population of roughly 9,300 people.

Lititz was founded in 1756 by the Moravian Church and named after a castle in Bohemia. Lititz today is known for its Independence Day celebration that’s been held since 1813, including the annual Queen of Candles Pageant and fireworks display in Lititz Springs Park. Historic sites include the gravesite of John A. Sutter, the Heritage Map Museum and the Johannes Mueller House, among many others. Lititz often appears on lists of “delightfully-named towns” in Pennsylvania Dutchland, and in 2013 it won a competition as one of “America’s Coolest Small Towns.”
